CERTIFIED PARENTING COACH AND MASTER TRAINER
Marian holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland University College where she assisted with a post-graduate research on Cultural & Ecological Influences on Mothers’ Parenting Attitudes & Child Development Outcomes. She has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, master trainer and empowerment coach. As the host of The Marian Edwards Show, she hosted over 300 live radio broadcasts.
Coach Marian is a nationally known public speaker recognized as a parenting and family dynamics expert. She is one of the only certified Breakthrough Parenting instructors and master trainers personally trained by the late Dr. Jayne Major. Marian was also a contributor on Dr. Major's second book, Discipline With Love: What Would You Do? Dr. Major passed before the book was completed but Marian continues to incorporate much of their collaborative work in her coaching and parenting classes.
In addition to coaching and training, Coach Marian is an effective collaborator with extensive experience working with multi-disciplinary community organizations including government agencies, Head Start Programs, School Readiness Coalitions, and Early Learning Boards.
